| Carolinas Golf Night & Annual Meeting |

West End, NC (1/20/12) - The Carolinas Golf Association will hold their annual Carolinas Golf Night and Annual Meeting on Saturday, February 25th at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club in Southern Pines, NC. Golf Night honorees include Special Guest Bill Harvey of Greensboro, NC, the 2011 Carolinas Players of the Year and CGA Champions past and present. This event is open to all active members of the CGA.
In addition to the reception, dinner and annual meeting, golf at Pine Needles is available to Golf Night attendees and special guests. Golf space is limited and will be available on a first come-first serve basis. There is no online registration available for this event. Attendees should mail their RSVP card along with their check to the address listed on the invitation. The deadline for RSVP is Friday, February 17, 2012.

| Turfgrass Educational Seminar |

West End, NC (1/19/12) - There is a change in the wind and many golf courses in the Carolinas are considering making the switch from bentgrass greens to new and superior ultradwarf bermudagrass greens. Modern Turf is offering a comprehensive one day seminar addressing many aspects of this phenomenon. The seminar is being held on February 21st at the Governors Club in Chapel Hill, NC. Modern Turf is a state-of-the-art turfgrass production company.
Members of the golf public and golf industry are invited to attend this seminar covering a broad spectrum of the most common areas affecting golfers, owners, superintendents, club officials, golf professionals and general managers.

| Carolinas Golf Association Announces 2011 Richard S. Tufts Players of the Year |

(1/16/12) - Two previous
winners and four first-timers have been named 2011 Richard S. Tufts Players of
the Year by the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA).
The six winners are: Scott Harvey of Greensboro, NC (Men), Austin
Ernst of Seneca, SC (Women), Paul Simson of Raleigh, NC (Senior Men), Pat
Brogden of Garner, NC (Senior Women), Carson Young of Pendleton, SC (Junior
Boys) and McKenzie Talbert of North Augusta, SC (Junior Girls).
The Richard S. Tufts Awards were established in 1997 to honor Carolinas amateur golfers who had exceptional individual
tournament performances over the preceding year. Tufts served on the CGA
Executive Committee from 1926 to 1964
and served as President from 1931 through 1933.

| Talbert & Young Named Carolinas Junior Golf Players of the Year |

(1/16/12) - McKenzie Talbert of North Augusta, SC and Carson Young of
Pendleton, SC have been named the Carolinas Junior Golf Players of the
Year and All-Carolinas for 2011. Joining Talbert on the All-Carolinas
Girls' Team are Sarah Bae of Cary, NC and Kelli Murphy of Elgin, SC.
Along with Young on the All-Carolinas Boys' Team are Will Starke of
Chapin, SC and Benjamin Griffin of Chapel Hill, NC.
Talbert, a 16-year-old junior at
Strom Thurmond High School, won her third straight Carolinas Girls' Player of
the year award by winning the CPGA Charles Tilghman Junior, the SCJGA Fall
Championship and the SC Junior Match Play Championship along with finishing as
the runner-up in the Vicki Disanstis Girls' Championship and the Joe Cheves
Junior and a tying for third place in the Carolinas Girls' Championship.
Young, a 17-year-old high
school junior at Pendleton High
School, earned the 2011 Boys' Player of the Year
honor by winning the CGA SC Junior Match Play Championship and the CPGA Junior
Championship.

West End, NC (1/11/12) - Congratulations to
Damon J. DiOrio, Chief Executive Officer of the Charlotte Country Club in Charlotte, NC and to
Patricia A. Calder, General Manager of the Thornblade Club in Greer, SC for winning Excellence in Club Management (ECM) Awards for 2011.
The Excellence in
Club Management Award annually recognizes private club general managers,
managers and chief operating officers who have exhibited outstanding
skills in managing their club.
D'Orio won the award in the category of Country/Golf Clubs with 600 or More Full-Privilege Members.
D'Orio has worked for Charlotte CC for over 20 years and has been its Chief Executive Officer since 2003.
Charlotte CC will be the 2012 site of the 98th Carolinas Amateur Championship conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
Calder won for excellence in the Country/Golf Clubs with Fewer than 600 Full-Privilege Members category. Calder became the General Manager in 2001 and has skillfully led Thornblade Club for the past decade.

| Perry and Walor Capture 4th Annual Young Amateur Championships |

Pinehurst, NC (1/3/12) - Fighting windy and cold conditions, Katherine Perry of Cary, NC and Jordan Walor of Wake Forest, NC captured their division titles in the 4th Carolinas Young Amateur Championship. Perry, a sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill, shot a second round of one over par 72 on the Magnolia Course at Pinewild CC in Pinehurst, NC to finish with a two day total of 148 and a ten shot victory. "I did not hit the ball well today, but putted really well and that saved me" stated Perry.
Walor, a senior at UNC-Pembroke, shot a second round one over par 73 and finished with a two day total of even par 144. Clifford Blanquicet of Sanford, NC finished in second place two shots back at 146.
