US Senior Amateur Q Results Myers Park
CHARLOTTE, NC – Final results from U.S. Senior Amateur Championship sectional qualifying hosted by Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte, NC on Tuesday, August 26, 2015 (6512 yards, par 36-35—71, Rating: 71.3/131).
Four qualifying spots and two alternate positions are available at this qualifying site.
Four golfers from the Carolinas qualified for the 2015 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship that will be played September 26-October 1 at Hidden Creek Golf Club, in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Dean Channell from Cary, NC and Gary Robinson from Fayetteville, NC each shot four-under par 67 to share medalist honors. Pat Thompson from Asheville, NC earned the third spot with a one-under par 70 and Ed Byman from Raleigh, NC fired an even-par 71 and won a one-hole playoff for the fourth spot. Mark Weston from Windermere, FL and John Fritz from Mint Hill, SC were 1st and 2nd Alternates respectively.
