Camden, SC— Four-time champions Frank Ford III of Charleston, SC and Jimmy Burgess of Kingstree, SC will face Joe Hendrick of Chesterfield, SC and Daran Womack of Aiken, SC in the final match of the 48th Carolinas Four-Ball Championship at Camden Country Club in Camden, SC.
Ford, the 1992 CGA Amateur Champion, and Burgess will be competing in their seventh final match in this event.
Defending Champions Gus Sylvan of Columbia, SC and Steve Liebler of Irmo, SC lost in the quarterfinals to Hendrick and Womack, losing a four-up lead in the last six holes.
The 18-hole final is scheduled for 8:00 a.m.
This championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.

Camden, SC— Joe Hendrick of Chesterfield, SC and Daran Womack of Aiken, SC again engineered a back-nine comeback to defeat Frank Ford III of Charleston, SC and Jimmy Burgess of Kingstree, SC by a 2 and 1 margin in the final match of the 48th Carolinas Four-Ball Championship at Camden Country Club in Camden, SC.
Hendrick and Womack trailed by two-holes after the par three eighth, but Womack’s birdie and par on the next two holes squared the match. The twosome took the lead for good with a par on the par three twelveth.
The day prior, in the quarterfinals, Hendrick and Womack fought back from a four-hole deficit in the final six holes to defeat the defending champions, Gus Sylvan of Columbia, SC and Steve Liebler of Irmo, SC in 19 holes.
The sixteenth hole played a big role in the victory as Ford and Burgess failed to get par, giving Hendrick and Womack a two-up lead with two to play. A thunderstorm during the fifteenth hole delayed play for an hour and thirty six minutes.
With the victory, Hendrick and Womack automatically receive invitations to represent the Carolinas in the annual Carolinas versus the Virginias team matches.
This championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
