Online Registration Information
Internet Registration Fee/Entry Fee Billing: Entry fee schedule is a deferred payment plan. When a player registers, his/her credit card is charged a $5 nonrefundable registration fee that is paid to our online registration provider, Avance Connections. A "hold" will not be placed on the credit card for the tournament entry fee. After entries close, if a player is accepted into the tournament, a second charge for the entry fee amount is charged to the credit card. Your credit card statement will show charge(s) from Avance Connections/NCGA not Carolinas Golf Association.
By completing this online championship registration, you understand and agree that there is a $5.00 non-refundable internet registration fee that will be charged in addition to the championship entry fee whether you have been accepted, rejected or ineligible for this event. Any eligible refund will be credited to the credit card account submitted with this application minus the aforementioned internet registration fee.
Confirmation Number: At the end of the online registration process you may opt to receive an e-mail confirming the CGA's receipt of your entry. This confirmation number does not verify your acceptance into the championship, only that the CGA has received your application. The CGA will notify you of entry status.
Entry Fee: $40 plus $5 internet registration fee for groups of four OR $15 plus $5 internet registration fee for individuals.
Accepted Forms of Payment: Discover, MasterCard, Visa. Make sure to use a credit card whose expiration date is after the tournament date(s).
Security: Tournament registration and credit card processing information is completely secure by utilizing the latest 128-bit encrypted technology.
2004 One-Day Entry and Tournament Policies
Players must enter as an individual or in groups of four. All player information must be filled out completely. Incomplete entries will be returned. Each player must present a current CGA handicap card, no more than 60 days old from the tournament date, to the official in charge at registration. Entries are open to amateur golfers who are members of CGA member clubs. A player with more than one CGA handicap index must use the lowest current index.
Online entry applications may be completed at
www.carolinasgolf.org. Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the tournament, by the Carolinas Golf Association. The CGA official in charge reserves the right to adjust handicap indexes or withhold prizes for competitors whose handicaps are considered unrealistic or who have participated in a disproportionate share of CGA prize distributions. The CGA is not responsible for errors or delays made by any mail or delivery courier. Fax, e-mail, telephone, late or incomplete entries are not accepted.Applications are not accepted until 28 days before the event. Applications are accepted until a tournament field is full or when entries close at 5 p.m. on the Monday prior to the event. Alternates are ranked according to the date an entry is received. A check for the appropriate entry fee payable to the Carolinas Golf Association must accompany each entry form. A $10 administrative fee is deducted from all refunds. No refunds are given after a closing date. Player substitutions are allowed at registration, but refunds are not given when individuals or groups fail to show. When One-Day Tournaments are scheduled on consecutive days, priority in acceptance is given to those who enter both events. Confirmation of acceptance will be sent to Player 1 listed above. Preference is given to groups of four. Individual entries will be paired together to fill vacant tee times. Tee time requests are not accepted. Tee times will be available online (
www.carolinasgolf.org) and at host club at least 3 days prior to the tournament.Prizes are awarded for low gross scores and low net scores in predetermined handicap brackets. The number of net prizes is determined by the number of entries. If winners are not available, prizes are mailed to the individuals. Ties are broken on the scorecard using the USGA recommended method.
Cart fee is mandatory for all players at all sites. Walking may be allowed, depending on club policy.
By submitting an application to the CGA, I/We agree to abide by all decisions of the CGA Tournament Committee, the CGA Tournament Manual (located at
www.carolinasgolf.org) and the conditions of play pertaining to this tournament. I/We are aware that disqualification is the penalty for failure to do so. I/We release the Carolinas Golf Association, its committee members, officers, and staff from any and all liability for any event or consequence relating to entry or participation in this event.
