Lynchburg, VA--A see saw battle on Sunday resulted in the Carolinas-Virginias Junior matches being halved in an 8-8 tie after the Sunday's singles matches. The Virginias won the first two matches of the morning to tie the overall score at 5 apiece. The Carolinas team fought back to halve four on the last five matches and lost one match to secure the tie against the talented Virginias team. The tie means Virginias team will retain the Vinny Giles trophy for another year.

Each team was represented by 8 of the best junior golfers from the Carolinas and the Virginias and play Saturday morning foursome matches, Saturday afternoon fourball matches and Sunday singles matches.
