GOLDSBORO, NC--Sectional qualifying results for the 26th Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship hosted by Walnut Creek Country Club (6,715 yards, par 36-36--72) in Goldsboro, NC on Wednesday, March 29, 2006. There were 21 qualifying spots plus ties available. 22 competitors advanced to the championship by shooting 77 or better. Gary Ellis of Cary, NC took medalist honors. Qualifiers advance to the Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship that will be held at Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, NC on April 21-23. This championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
