Southern Pines, NC - The North Carolina professionals edged the North Carolina amateurs in both singles and four-ball play to win the Tar Heel Cup matches at Pine Needles Club. "In the singles matches, the professionals won three matches, halved four and lost one."

The North Carolinas professionals improve their overall winning record, 10 to 2.

The points are based on a Nassau format with one point each credited to the winners on the front side, the back side, and overall 18 holes. A total of three points is available in each match.

This event is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association and the Carolinas PGA.
