Final Results

Asheboro, NC—Eric Bae of Cary needed extra holes, but captured his first Carolinas Golf Association title winning the NC Junior Boys’ 13 and Under Championship at Asheboro Golf Club in Asheboro, NC. After bad weather on Monday afternoon, the tournament format was changed to 36-holes of stroke play to ensure completing the event on time. After 36-holes, Bae and Harrison Rhoades of Raleigh were locked in a tie at one over par 141 on the par 70 Donald Ross designed course. Bae and Rhoades both pared the first two extra holes, but Rhoades missed a sharp breaking four footer for par on the third hole leaving Bae only needing to tap in his par putt for the win.

The other flight winners included Preyer Fountain, Raleigh, NC (first flight), Luke Thalman, Charlotte, NC (second flight), Austin Northern, Blowing Rock, NC (third flight) and Austin Hite, Maiden, NC (fourth flight).

This junior championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
