Championship Match Results
Camden, SC - Patrick Brady of Reidsville, NC and Scott Harvey of Greensboro, NC captured the Carolinas Four-Ball Championship, 4 and 3 over qualifying medalists Bryan Newton of Gray Court, SC and Bret Boulware of Greenville, SC.
Brady and Harvey, each who has never won a CGA championship, capitalized on a four-under par round through 15 holes to take their first CGA win.
"This is special for a lot of reasons," said Brady, a 47 year old gasoline distributor. "Our dads (Pat Foy Brady and Bill Harvey) each has won CGA championships and that is something we both wanted to do"
Harvey agreed.
"For us to each get our first CGA win playing together made it even better," said the 32 year old property manager. "I could hardly speak when I called my dad to tell him we won."
This was the third consecutive trip to the final for Brady and Harvey as teammates, and the fifth total trip for Brady including his attempts with now-Champions Tour player Mike Goodes. In each previous final match, both Brady and Harvey came away as runners-up.
This event is one of 211 annual events conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
