Charlotte, NC – Chelsey Couch of Ware Shoals, SC followed up her first round 70 with a one under par round of 71 and finished with a two day total of three under par 141 to win the 6^th Vicki Disantis Girls’ Championship being hosted by Pine Island CC in Charlotte, NC. Couch, a high school junior, played the first 16 holes in three under par and then coasted home to win by two shots over McKenzie Talbert of N. Augusta, SC. Talbert, the 2009 and 2010 Carolinas Junior Player of the Year, could not mount a second day charge to catch Couch and finished in second place two shots back at one under par 143. Katleyn Dambaugh, the runner-up in last year’s US Junior Girls’ Amateur finished in third place five shots back at two over 146.

This annual junior championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association in honor of Mrs. Vicki Disantis for her dedication and many years of service to girls golf in the Carolinas.
