West End, NC (2/25/10) - Due to a schedule conflict, the 49th Carolinas Senior Amateur Championship date has been moved to September 7-9, 2010 at Linville Golf Club in Linville, NC. The U.S. Senior Amateur sectional qualifier at Treyburn Country Club in Durham, NC has been moved to September 13.

West End, NC (2/13/10) - Dustin Johnson, the 2007 CGA Player of the Year, won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am for the second straight year by one stroke on Sunday. Southern Pines, NC (2/12/10) - Walter Todd of Laurens, SC was elected as the 52nd President of the Carolinas Golf Association at the association's annual meeting on Friday, February 12, 2010 at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club in Southern Pines, NC. Todd replaces Steve Hinshaw of Pinehurst, NC who just completed his two-year stint leading the CGA. Other officers elected are J. Richard Dosek of Advance, NC (Vice-President); G. Jackson Hughes of Greenville, SC (Secretary) and Dan O'Connell of Spartanburg, SC (Treasurer). Rion Moore of Georgetown, SC will complete the remaining term for James Burgess of Columbia, SC who has resigned from the CGA Executive Committee after 22 years of service including serving as President from 2006-07.

West End, NC (2/8/10) - Jim Hyler, 62, of Raleigh, NC began his tenure as president of the USGA on Saturday night at the association's annual meeting that took place at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, NC.
