Camden, SC (5/11/08) - USC-Upstate golfing teammates Baxter Culler of Hartsville, SC and Josh Gallman of Gaffney, SC defeated Harrison Moore of Orangeburg, SC and Allen Koon of Anderson, SC to win the Carolinas Four-Ball Championship by a slim one-up margin at Camden Country Club. Robert Godfrey Victorious at 28th Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship

GREENVILLE, SC (4/20/08) – Robert Godfrey, 34, of Seneca, SC posted a two-under par 70 to win the Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship by two strokes over Greenville Country Club member Lee Palms of Greenville, SC. Godfrey, who operates a driving range, carded a double bogey six on the 446-yard par four opening hole. Carolinas Golf Association Awards Over $100,000 To Various Golf Programs in the Carolinas

West End, NC (3/10/08) - The Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) executive committee has awarded, through the Carolinas Golf Foundation (CGF), $102,000 for 2008 projects. The CGA administers the CGF, absorbs CGF administrative costs and approves CGF activities. Monies are donated to various junior golf, women’s golf and turfgrass scholarships and turfgrass projects in the Carolinas.
