VINCE HATFIELD WINS RAIN-SHORTENED CAROLINAS JUNIOR

TAYLORS, SC - The third and final round of the Carolinas Junior Championship at Pebble Creek Club, Creekside Course, was rained out Thursday. The two-round total will stand as the final results.

In the 14-17 division, Vince Hatfield of Greenwood, SC claims his second CGA title by capturing the 2004 Carolinas Junior title. Hatfield also won the 2003 South Carolinas Junior Match Play Championship. Second place went to Wesley Bryan of Columbia, SC. Trophies were awarded to the top 3 age division winners. Since no on-course playoff could be determined, ties were broken using the USGA recommended procedure for scorecard playoffs. App I c-9 (b).
