Younts and Simpson Win North Carolina Junior Titles
BURLINGTON, NC—Drew Younts of Stokesdale needed 20 holes to defeat Nathan Spoon of Graham to win the 37th NC Junior Championship at Alamance Country Club in Burlington.
In the other match of the day, Emily Simpson of Rutherfordton beat Sydney Crane of Jamestown, 3 and 1, to win the girls division.
On Thursday, the boys 13 and under division went to Ben Heisey of New Bern with a 3 and 2 win over Thomas Chapman of Gastonia in the final match.
