Monroe, NC – Keith Kepley of Charlotte, NC and Louise Kepley of Charlottesville, VA fired a round of three-under par 69 to win the 7th Carolinas Parent-Child championship at Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe, North Carolina. This was the Kepley’s first Parent-Child Championship.

Standing by his mom’s side Keith said, “My mom has been battling cancer the past two and a half years and I was thrilled that we were able to enjoy this day together.  We played great!  Neither one of us really ever made a mistake or put the other one in any kind of trouble.”  

The Kepley’s won by a one shot margin over three-time champion, Chuck and Rebecca Burkhart of Clemmons, NC.

In the 12 and under division, Cathy and Matthew Hill shot an 81 to capture first place honors.

The format of the championship, modified alternate shot, featured each player driving from the tee then choosing a ball to play and alternating until the ball is holed. Each team was pre-flighted based on total team handicap.
