Moore and Teague Win the Women's Four-Ball By Five
Strokes SALISBURY, NC—Lori Teague
of Newton, NC and Patty Moore of Charlotte, NC fired a final round six-under par
66--131 to win the championship by five strokes. They were consistent in today’s
round by shooting 33 on each nine that included six birdies. Teague led the way
with five of the team’s six birdies on holes #3, 4, 5, 14 and 16. Moore’s birdie
came on the 13th hole. The victory is Patty Moore’s third Carolinas Women’s Four-Ball Championship
crown. She won in 1992 and 1993 partnered with Terrie Foote of Mooresville, NC.
This is Teague’s first Carolinas Women’s Four-Ball title. Teague finished runner-up in the NC Women’s State Amateur this past year and
Moore is the reigning Carolinas Women’s Senior Champion. Sarah Sturm of Spartanburg, SC and Connor Atkinson of Charleston, SC along
with Tonya Cisle of Elgin, SC and Danielle Sertick of Blythewood, SC tied for
second place at 136. This championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
