Your tee time for the USGA Amateur Sectional Qualifying at Oak Valley Golf Club on August 2-3, 2004 is on the enclosed tee time sheet. The number of spots has not been assigned as yet. Qualifying will be 36 holes stroke play. The field will be cut to the low 30% of entries and ties plus anyone within 8 shots of the lead after Monday's 18 hole round. The cut makers will be re-paired for the final round on Tuesday, August 3. Competitors are required to walk during all phases of the championship, including the qualifying rounds.
Caddies will not be available at the club so you should make arrangements to bring a caddie/cart driver should you decide not to carry your bag. (Cart/range fee is $20 per round) Pull carts are allowed. Players not renting a cart for the qualifying rounds must pay a $5 range fee. All fees are due each day. Please take care of fees before your tee time.
You are entitled to only one complimentary practice round, (Mandatory cart fee not included.) which may be scheduled on August 1 after 12:00. Local players are asked to play their practice round on a weekday the week prior. Caddies, parents and friends are not entitled to play with competitors. Tee times for your practice round must be made in advance through the golf shop. Don’t just show up and expect to be given a tee time. It would be helpful if you contact other qualifiers and make your own game before calling. You may call the CGA office if you need telephone numbers of your fellow competitors.
There is no formal player registration at Oak Valley Golf Club. Be at your assigned tee time five minutes prior to receive all player information.
The USGA does not allow spectator carts. Special requests are to be made in writing to the USGA. Also, cell phone use during play is not allowed.
Oak Valley is a soft spike only facility. Private coolers are not allowed. Shirts must have collars; no denim and shorts must be Bermuda length. The dress code applies to caddies too.
