The USGA prohibits the use of cellular phones during qualifying and championship rounds. Also, the USGA does not allow spectator carts during qualifying rounds or the championship proper.

Traditional metal spikes are not allowed at River Landing. Only soft spikes are allowed. The penalty for non-compliance is disqualification. Shirts must have collars, shorts are allowed but must be Bermuda length and no denim is allowed for players or caddies.

You are entitled to one complimentary practice round on May 11 until 4 PM or when times are available on weekdays prior to the qualifier. Some weekend times may be available at the regular rate of $43. There is a mandatory $20 cart/range fee for the practice round. Make sure to identify yourself as a U.S. Open qualifying participant. It would be helpful if you could contact other qualifiers and make your own practice round game. Cart fee for a caddie/cart driver on the qualifying date will be $20 with range included. For all other players not needing a cart for their caddie/cart driver on the qualifying date, there will be a $5 range fee. Make sure to check-in with the golf shop when you arrive and pay your appropriate fees. Players may walk during the practice round but must still pay the mandatory $20 cart/range fee. Play the Gold tee markers (7,000 yards) during your practice round except on hole #3 use the 155 yard tee.

The Holiday Inn Express is located 500 yards from the entrance to River Landing. Please ask for the corporate rate. The Mad Boar Restaurant is located next door to the hotel.

Any player who is discovered taking more than 40 seconds to play a stroke is subject to a warning for slow play and will be advised of the fact. The player will be notified that exceeding 40 seconds on one more occasion will result in a penalty of one stroke. A third violation will result in a two-stroke penalty, followed by disqualification for a fourth.
