2005 Pro-Am Club Championship Winners

Richmond Pines CC, Rockingham, NC

RICHMOND PINES COUNTRY CLUB CLAIMS 2005 PRO-AMATEUR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

Charlotte, NC - Richmond Pines CC of Rockingham, NC captured the 29th Pro-Am Club Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association. Representing Richmond Pines CC were golf professional Michael Way and amateur Troy Quick.

Way and Quick made 9 birdies and 2 bogeys on their way to a 7 under 65. 60 clubs from the Carolinas competed on the Donald Ross designed Myers Park Country Club which was played for 6915 yards.

There was a 3-way tie at 6 under 66 for second place with High Point CC represented by Jim Brotherton and Kim Mansfield, Greenville CC (SC) represented by Brian Lamb and John Dennis, and Pine Lake CC of Charlotte represented by Burt Baine and Dan Hendrickson.

This annual championship was contested under the format of four-ball stoke play to determine the best pro-am team in the Carolinas and is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
