Tommy Langley of High Point, NC and Tom Hadley of Hendersonville, NC, 2005 Carolinas Senior Four-Ball Champions

LANGLEY AND HADLEY CLAIM 37TH SENIOR FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP

SPARTANBURG, SC—Tom Hadley, 68, of Hendersonville, NC and Tommy Langley, 73, of High Point, NC shot a three under par 69--202 to win the Carolinas Senior Four-Ball Championship by one stroke over Ronnie Grove of Raleigh, NC-Larry Boswell of Jamestown, NC and John Dennis of Greenville, SC - Frank Wrenn of Greenville, SC.

Hadley and Langley combined for four birdies and one lone bogey in today’s round. Hadley made two clutch par putts on the final two holes to seal the victory. Together they won the 2003 CGA North Carolina Senior Partners Championship at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club in Southern Pines, NC.

Grove and Boswell shot a tournament low round of eight under par 64 to leap from 13th place into a tie for second.

Defending champions Vic Hannon of Camden, SC and Jim Patti of Bluffton, SC shot a three-under par 69 and finished tied for tenth place.

This championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
