MOORE AND TEAGUE WIN AGAIN!
MURRELLS INLET, SC--Final round results of the 28th Carolinas Women's Four-Ball Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Wachesaw Plantation Club in Murrells Inlet, SC on Wednesday, August 3 (5686 yards, par 36-36--72).
Patty Moore of Charlotte, NC, and Lori Teague of Taylorsville, NC fired a final round four-under par 68--133 to successfully their Carolinas Women's Four-Ball title. Moore, the 2004 Carolinas Women's and Senior Women's Player of the Year, carded four birdies and Teague rolled in one on the par-3 7th hole in today's round.
The defending champions outlasted Debbie Adams of Asheville, NC and Melissa Sage of Charlotte, NC by two-strokes. Adams and Sage had their chances but could not convert enough birdie opportunities to catch Moore and Teague.
In third place was Dinah Plyler of Chapin, SC and Mallory Hetzel of Summerville, SC at eight-under par 136 to finish three strokes back.
