Matthews, NC-- On a day when it was very easy to get blown off track, Meghan Moore of Bahama, NC kept her balance and won the 2^nd Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls’ Championship at Emerald Lake Golf Club in Matthews, NC.  Moore, a high school sophomore, had the round of the day finishing with a 3 over par 74 on a windy day with winds averaging 15-20 miles per hour. 

Finishing in second place, five shots behind was Erica Creed of Kernersville, NC.  Creed, a high school senior who has committed to play collegiate golf at UNC-Greensboro, played steady to finish one shot ahead on third place finisher Darlea Carr of Pinehurst, NC, the first round leader. 

In the sub junior flight, Casey Ward of Chapel Hill placed first place four shots ahead of Mallory Warrick of Wilson, NC.  This annual junior girls’ tournament featured the top ranked junior girls from North and South Carolina.

The Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls’ Championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
