Format:                                  36-hole stroke play qualifying.

Qualifying spots:                 There are 4 qualifying spots available and 2 alternate spots.

Practice round:                   Practice rounds for contestants living 50 miles or closer to Raleigh must be played between Monday, June 25th and Friday, June 29th. There will be a limited number of starting times for contestants living farther than 50 miles from Raleigh on Saturday, June 30th and Sunday, July 1st.  If you live closer than 50 miles, please do not call and ask for a weekend practice round.  Contestants must call the golf shop to schedule a practice round starting time.  Players may call beginning June 19th.  Please identify yourself as a US Junior Amateur qualifier when calling. 

Yardages:                             We will the black tees.  To insure playing the proper yardage during your practice round, print out a sample score card and take with you.

Caddies:                                Players must walk at all times, but may use a caddy.  Caddies may not be a parent, step parent, or guardian during qualifying or the championship proper.

Range finders:                     Range finders may not be used during the championship.

Food and beverage:           The sports bar, which is located adjacent to the golf shop will be open for the qualifier.  Also, the halfway house located at the 7th and 12th green will also be open.  Both facilities will accept cash only.

Practice fees:                      Each player will by required to pay a $5 range fee on the day of the qualifier.  Range fees will be collected in the golf shop and should be paid before your morning round.

Spectator carts:                 Spectator carts will not be available for this event.

Hotel:                                     The Holiday Inn on Glenwood Ave. is offering a special rate of $85 plus tax per room for reservations made by June 16th.  Please identify yourself with the Carolinas Golf Association when making your reservation.  There are also numerous hotels in the Crabtree Valley Mall area. 

Withdraws:                          If you cannot compete in this qualifier, you must withdraw from the event by contacting the USGA at 908-234-2300.
