Starting Time: Please check the enclosed pairing sheet for your starting time on Monday, June 11, 2007. Since there is no formal registration, please be at your assigned tee five minutes prior to your time in order to receive player information.

 

Qualifying Spots: Players: 95     Qualifiers: 3     Alternates: 2

 

Automotive Transportation and Caddies: Remember that sectional qualifying is 18 holes, that you must walk in all phases of the championship and that you are responsible for providing your own caddie/cart driver.  Caddies will NOT be available at Piper Glen. Players must walk but you may carry your own bag during the qualifying round. Caddies will be allowed to rent a cart for the qualifying round at this site. Pull carts will be allowed but you must bring your own as they are not available from the club.

 

USGA Policies: U.S. Senior sectional qualifying is 18 holes. The USGA prohibits the use of cellular phones during qualifying and championship rounds. Also, the USGA does not allow spectator carts during qualifying rounds or the championship proper. Traditional metal spikes are not allowed.  The penalty for non-compliance is disqualification. The "One-Ball" rule will be in effect. On-course playoffs for qualifying and alternate spots will begin as soon as the need is determined.

 

Dress Code: Shorts are allowed but must be Bermuda-length. Shirts must have a collar and no denim is allowed. The dress code also applies to caddies. Mock turtle golf shirts are allowed.

 

Practice Round: You are entitled to ONE complimentary practice round ($19.50 + tax cart fee not included) on Sunday, June 10 after 12:00 or whenever times are available on weekdays. You must call the golf shop in advance to schedule a practice round tee time. Make sure to identify yourself as an U.S. Senior Open Championship Qualifying participant when calling. Don't just show up and expect to be accommodated.

Tentative Tees for the Qualifier: Play the back tees (Gold) except on holes 4, 9, and 13 play the Blue (next to back) tees.
