Eligibility: Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who has reached his 55th birthday by the tournament date, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and has a current USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club.

Format: USGA Rules of Golf govern play. 18 holes of individual stroke play using 100% course handicap. Gross and net prizes are awarded in each division.  Entrants placed into divisions according to age. Play approximately 6,000 yards. Age divisions: Senior (55-59); Senior (60-64); Super Senior (65-69); Super Senior (70+). Players should check-in with CGA tournament director prior to play to receive official score card, rules sheet and tournament information.

Field Selection: Entry forms are accumulated for the entire Open/Close window. When a tournament oversubscribes, accepted players and alternates are selected using a "blind draw" method.

Entries: Incomplete entries will be returned. Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the tournament, by the Carolinas Golf Association. The CGA is not responsible for errors or delays made by any mail or delivery courier. Fax, e-mail, telephone, late or incomplete entries are not accepted. A check for the appropriate entry fee payable to the Carolinas Golf Association must accompany each entry form. Players who are a "No Show" (DNS) or “No Card” (NC) will be suspended from the next four CGA one-day tournaments that they are eligible for including the Tournament of Champions. The suspension will carry forward between seasons if necessary.

Handicap: A player with more than one CGA handicap index must use the lowest current index. The CGA official-in-charge reserves the rights to adjust course handicaps and withhold prizes for competitors whose handicaps are considered unrealistic or who have participated in a disproportionate share of CGA prize distributions.

Distance Measuring Devices:  Players may use an approved distance measuring device during this event.

Caddies:  No caddies.

Prizes and Merchandise: Prizes are awarded for low gross scores and low net scores in each division.  The number of net prizes is determined by the number of entries. If winners are not available, prizes are mailed to the individuals.  Ties are broken on the score card using the USGA recommended method. A player is disqualified if his net score beats the course rating by eight or more strokes and beats the next best net score by four or more strokes.

Gift Certificates: Gift certificates are valid for one year from date of issue.

Refund Policy: Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if the CGA is notified before close of entries. Refunds are not made after entries close except in the case of player illness, player injury or death in the family. A $10 administrative fee is deducted from all refunds given after tournament closing date.

Tournament of Champions: First place gross and net winners in each division will be eligible to compete in the 2008 One-Day Tournament of Champions Senior Division on December 14, 2008 at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club's Course No. 5.
