Sectional Qualifying

Tournament Information

 

Format:                                  18 holes stroke play qualifying.

 

Qualifying spots:                 The amount of available spots will be determined after entries close on July 13th. 

 

 

Practice round:                   A complimentary practice round will be available at Hidden Valley GC from July 13th–July 19th.   Contestants must call the golf shop to schedule a practice round starting time.  Players may call up to 7 days in advance to schedule a practice round.  Please identify yourself as a Carolinas Junior qualifier when calling. 

 

Starting times:                    Starting times will be available through the CGA office and/or the carolinasgolf.org web site on July 14, 2009.  Please do not call before this date.  Players are asked to check in with the starter 10 minutes before their starting time.

 

Yardages:                             Approx. 6,379 yards (white tees)

 

Prizes:                                   Medalist trophy will be awarded to low score for the qualifying.

Caddies:                                Players must walk at all times, but may use a caddy.  Caddy must be 18 years of age or younger, no exceptions.  Caddies must walk at all times as well.

 

Range finders:                     Range finders may be used during the championship.

 

 

Spectator carts:                 Spectator carts will be available to rent at a rate of $20 per person.  Carts must remain on paths at all times.

Dress code:                         Hats/visors must be worn with brim forward, males must remove hat/visor while indoors.

Collared shirts or mock turtlenecks must be worn and tucked in at all times.

 

Parent policy:                      Parents are encouraged to follow their child.  We do ask that all parents remain on the cart path (roughs in no cart paths), unless assisting with the search for a ball.

 

Withdraws:                          If you cannot compete in this championship, you must withdraw from the event by contacting the CGA office at 910-673-1000 prior to round 1.  If you do not withdraw properly, you are considered a "no show" and you will be suspended from CGA events for 1 year.
