Your entry for the CGA Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship Sectional Qualifier at the Country Club of Orangeburg in Orangeburg, SC on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 has been accepted.

 

Please review the following qualifying information since there is no formal registration at the Country Club of Orangeburg. Remember that we are guests of the club and we need to conduct ourselves in a proper manner. Also, make sure to take care of your cart/range fees in the golf shop prior to the qualifying round and be at your assigned tee ready to play a few minutes before your tee time. Failure to pay cart/range fees will result in suspension from future CGA events. Good luck and we look forward to seeing you in Orangeburg.

 

Practice Rounds: You are entitled to one complimentary practice round (cart fee mandatory and not included at $20.00) from March 16-31 when tee times are available. You may begin calling for practice tee times on March 9. Make sure to identify yourself as a Carolinas Mid-Amateur participant when calling. It will be helpful if you contact other qualifier participants and make your own game before calling. Play the Blue tees except play the White tees on holes #2 and #12 during your practice round. Par is 35-36—71 with hole #2 playing as a par 4 for the qualifier. Approximate yardage is 6625 yards. Yardage is subject to change.

Tee Times: Qualifying tee times will be available beginning Wednesday, March 25 on the CGA website (www.carolinasgolf.org) or by calling the CGA or the Country Club of Orangeburg. Qualifier tee times are from 8:00am-10:00am off the 1st and 10th tees.

Cart Fees: Be aware that the $20.00 cart/range fee is MANDATORY for both the practice and qualifying rounds. You may walk during the qualifier but must still pay the cart/range fee. Caddies are permitted during the qualifying round but only two carts are allowed per group or one cart if there are two players in a pairing. Pull-carts are NOT allowed.

Caddie/Spectator Cart Policy: During the play of a hole, either the player or his caddie may ride in a golf cart but not both at the same time. Spectators are not allowed to ride in a player’s golf cart at any time. Club owned spectator carts are not allowed.

Distance Measuring Devices: Local rule allowing the use of distance measuring devices during the qualifying round will be in effect.

Club Policies: Country Club of Orangeburg accepts MasterCard, Visa, check and cash for golf shop purchases and cart/range fees. Food and beverage only accepts cash or check. Also, be advised that the Country Club of Orangeburg is a non-metal spike facility.  No denim, shirts must have collars and shorts must be Bermuda-length. The dress code also applies to caddies. No personal food or coolers.
