Format: 18
holes stroke play qualifying followed by match play for all divisions. The boys' 14-18 division will be cut to the
low 63 for match play. The girls’
division will be cut to the low 31 for match play. Defending champions Hayley Hammond and Justin
Clement will be the #1 seed.
Practice round: A complimentary
practice round will be available at Henderson CC on Monday, June 15, 2009. Contestants must call the golf shop to
schedule a practice round starting time.
Players may call beginning June 8th. Please identify yourself as a North Carolina
Junior participant when calling.
Starting times: Starting times
will be available through the CGA office and/or the carolinasgolf.org web site
on June 12, 2009 after 12 noon. Please do not call before this date.
Yardages: Boys’
division: approx. 6400 yards, par 70. Printable scorecard (PDF)

Prizes: Trophies
will be awarded to the champions, runner-up, semi-finalist and quarter-finalist
in each division.
Caddies: Players
must walk at all times, but may use a caddy.
Caddy must be 18 years of age or younger, no exceptions. Caddies must
walk at all times as well. Henderson CC
does allow pull carts.
Measuring
devices: Devices that measure distance only may be used during this
championship.
Spectator
carts: Spectator carts will be available to rent at a rate
of $20 per cart. Carts must remain on
path at all times.
Method of payments:
Dress code: No metal
or ceramic spikes.
Hats/visors must be worn with brim forward and must be removed while
indoors.
Collared shirts or mock
turtlenecks must be worn and tucked in at all times.
Women’s fashion shirts without a collar must have sleeves.
Women’s fashion shirts must
not rise above the belt line at anytime during the golf swing.
Shorts must be no more than 5” above the knee.
Player
Registration: All players must register in the Henderson CC club house on Monday, June
15th from 6:15 p.m. - 6:50 p.m.
Rules meeting: There will be
a mandatory
players’ meeting on Monday, June 15th at 7:00 p.m. at Henderson
CC.
All players are required to
attend!
Junior Teams: The champion in
the boys’ division will be invited to represent the Carolinas in the
Carolinas-Virginias Junior Team matches at Boonesboro CC in
Rankings: This
is a boys’ and girls’ junior rankings event that has been assigned a multiplier
of 7.
Parent policy: Parents are
encouraged to follow their child. We do
ask that all parents remain on the cart path (roughs if no cart paths), unless
assisting with the search for a ball.
Withdraws: If you
cannot compete in this championship, you must withdraw from the event by
contacting the CGA office at 910-673-1000 prior to round 1. If you do not withdraw properly, you are
considered a "no show" and you will be suspended from the 2010 NC
Junior.
