Your entry into the 41st Carolinas Senior Four-Ball Championship at Greenville Country Club in Greenville, SC on April 21-23, 2009 has been accepted. The championship will be played on the club’s Riverside course at the main clubhouse. Please review the following championship information since there is no formal championship registration at Greenville Country Club. Remember that we are guests of the club and we need to conduct ourselves in a proper manner. Also, make sure to take care of any appropriate fees in the golf shop prior to each round and be at your assigned tee ready to play a few minutes before your tee time. Dress Code: Shorts must be Bermuda-length and shirts must have a collar. No denim. No personal coolers.
Cell Phones: Cell phone use is not allowed in the golf shop or clubhouse.
Starting times for April 21-22 will be available on Tuesday, April 14. Check the CGA website at www.carolinasgolf.org, call the CGA office or Greenville Country Club golf shop. The official starting time clocks are located on the starting tees.
You are entitled to one practice round on Monday, April 20. You may begin calling the Greenville Country Club golf shop on April 7 to schedule a practice round. Make sure to identify yourself as a Carolinas Senior Four-Ball Championship participant. It would be helpful if you make your own game before calling. There is a mandatory $20.00 cart/range fee for the practice round. Cart/range fee for all championship rounds is $20.00/player. The club will collect cart fees for the first two rounds on April 21. Contestants may choose to walk during championship rounds but must pay a $5.00 daily range fee. Teams that make the cut must pay their final round cart/range fees on April 23 prior to play. Pull-carts are not allowed. Greenville Country Club golf shop accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express or check for cart/range fees and golf shop purchases (No Cash).
Food and Beverage
Food and beverage will be available for championship contestants in the club’s Pub Room located upstairs in the clubhouse. Downstairs clubhouse food and beverage service is limited to members and their invited guests. Greenville Country Club only accepts cash for food and beverage purchases (No Credit Cards).

Championship headquarters is the Drury Inn and Suites on Carolina Point Parkway off Woodruff Road (864-288-4401). Hotel is approximately 10 minutes from Greenville Country Club. There are numerous restaurants located around this hotel. Championship Format and Schedule
Championship is conducted at 54 holes of four-ball stroke play. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the low 30 scores and ties for the final round. The CGA has removed paying flight prizes after 36 holes. Top 20 overall teams receive merchandise at the conclusion of the championship. An on-course play-off is used to break a tie for the championship.

Tuesday, April 21 First round. Tee times off #1 and #10 tees (AM/PM).
Wednesday, April 22 Second round. Tee times off #1 and #10 tees (AM/PM).
Field cut to low 30 teams and ties for final round.
Thursday, April 23 Final round. Tee times off #1 and #10 tees (AM).

Greenville Country Club is a spikeless facility. The penalty for non-compliance is disqualification. Except for emergencies, use of cell phones during play is prohibited. One-ball rule is not in effect. Local rule allowing the use of distance measuring devices will be in effect.
