The number of spots has not been assigned as yet. Qualifying will be 36 holes stroke play.  The field will be cut to the low 30% of entries and ties plus anyone within 8 shots of the lead after the first round. The cut makers will be re-paired for the final round on Tuesday. Competitors are required to walk during all phases of the championship, including this qualifier.

Caddies will be not be available at the club. Players may rent carts for their caddies to transport clubs at the rate of $25 which includes range balls.  You may also carry your bag. Private pull carts are not allowed. Players who do not rent a cart must pay a daily $5 range fee.

Practice Round: You are entitled to only one complimentary practice round (Mandatory $25 cart/range fee) which may be scheduled July 26 or when times are available on week days beginning July 20. Caddies, parents and friends are not entitled to play with competitors. Tee times for your practice round must be made in advance through the golf shop. Don’t just show up and expect to be accommodated. It would be helpful if you contact other qualifiers and make your own game before calling. You may call the CGA office if you need telephone numbers of your fellow competitors. The qualifier will be played from the back tees.

Methods of Payment: Little River accepts cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover for all purchases and rentals. There is no formal player registration at the club. Take care of all necessary fees and be at your assigned tee at least five minutes prior to your tee time in order to receive player information.

USGA Policies: The USGA does not allow spectator carts. Special requests are to be made in writing to the USGA. Cell phone use during play is not allowed. The One-Ball will be in affect and measuring devices will NOT be allowed.

Little River Policies: The club is a soft spike only facility. Private coolers are not allowed. Shirts must have collars; no denim and shorts must be Bermuda length. The dress code also applies to caddies. Private pull carts are not allowed.

Area Lodging: Little River Golf and Resort offers two-bedroom villas adjacent to the clubhouse overlooking the golf course. CGA discounted rates are $40.00 per person per night based on 4 people in 1 villa ($160.00/night) or $55.00 per person per night based on 2 people in 1 villa ($110.00/night). Rates include all state/local taxes.  Call the front desk at Little River (910-949-4600) to make reservations. When making reservations make sure to identify yourself as a U.S. Amateur Championship contestant being held at Little River.
