Tournament Information

 

Host professional:              Mark Hofstetter, PGA

 

Format:                                  36-hole stroke play.

 

Practice round:                   A practice round will be available April 23 – April 30 at a rate of $25 (walking). Contestants must call the golf shop to schedule a practice round starting time.

                                                Please identify yourself as a CGA Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls' Championship participant when calling. 

 

Starting times:                    Starting times will be available through the CGA office and/or the carolinasgolf.org web site on April 23, 2010.  Please do not call before this date.

                                                Saturday times will begin at 12:30 p.m.

                                                Sunday times will begin at 12 p.m.

 

Yardages:                             2935-3086--6021 yards, par 35-36-71. Printable scorecard

 

Prizes:                                   Trophies will be awarded to the champion through sixth place.

Caddies:                                Players must walk at all times, but may use a caddy.  Caddy must be 18 years of age or younger, no exceptions.  Caddies must walk at all times.

 

Measuring devices:           Measuring devices that only measure distance may be used during the championship.

 

Spectator carts:                 Spectator carts will be available to rent at a rate of $17 per rider.

 

Registration:                        All contestants are asked to register with the committee on Saturday, May 1st from 10 am–1 pm.  Registration will take place at Pine Island Country Club by the scoreboard.

Trophies:                              Trophies are awarded to the champion through sixth place.  A tie for the overall will be broken by an on course sudden death playoff. 

                                                Ties for the runner-up and second runner-up places will be broken by the USGA playoff system. 

 

Girls’ Team Matches:        The girls champion qualifies to represent the CGA in the Mid-Atlantic Challenge, July 31 – August 1, 2010 at Independence GC in Richmond, VA. 

 

Dress code:                         Women’s fashion shirts without a collar must have sleeves.

Women’s fashion shirts must not rise above the belt line at anytime during the golf swing.

Women’s shorts must be no more than 5” above the knee.

All shirts must be tucked in at all times.

 

Hotel:                                     The Holiday Inn Express in Mount Holly/Belmont, NC is offering a rate of $XXXXXX per night per room (plus sales tax) if rooms are booked by XXXXXXXXX.

Parent policy:                      Parents are encouraged to follow their child.  We do ask that all parents remain on the cart path (roughs in no cart paths), unless assisting with the search for a ball.

 

Withdraws:                          If you cannot compete in this championship, you must withdraw from the event by contacting the CGA office at 910-673-1000 prior to round 1. 

                                                If you do not withdraw properly, you will be considered a "no show" and will be suspended from next years Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls’ Championship.
