Raleigh, NC – U.S. Senior Amateur Championship sectional qualifying final results hosted by Carolina Country Club in Raleigh, NC on Monday, August 17, 2009 (par 35-36—71, 6279 yards, 70.8/133).
Four qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at the qualifying site. Qualifiers include Paul Simson of Raleigh, NC (68), Joe Robinson of Rock Hill, SC (68), John Bunn of Raleigh, NC (68) and Bubba Judy of Greensboro, NC (69).
There was a five-way playoff for the two alternate positions with Jim Van Ooteghen of Seneca, SC claiming first alternate while Mike Jackson of Canada claimed the second alternate.
The 2009 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship will be played September 12-17 at Beverly Country Club in Chicago, IL.
This USGA national championship qualifier is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
