Player Information
Your application for entry into the 7th North Carolina Women’s Senior Amateur Championship at Cedarwood Country Club in Charlotte, NC on April 27-28, 2010 has been received and accepted. Please review the following championship information. There is no official check-in at CGA events so please be sure to be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
Starting times for April 27th will be available on Tuesday, April 20 after 5:00pm. Check the CGA web site at www.carolinasgolf.org, call the CGA office or the Cedarwood Country Club golf shop. Wednesday, April 28th will be an 8:30am shot-gun start.
You are entitled to one complimentary practice round on Monday, April 26th or when times are available. You may call the Cedarwood CC golf shop to schedule a practice round beginning Friday, April 23rd – NO EARLIER. Make sure to identify yourself as a North Carolina Women’s Senior Amateur Championship participant. It would be helpful if you make your own game before calling. There is a mandatory $20 cart/range fee for the practice round. Cart/range fee for each championship round is included in your entry fee. Cart fee is mandatory for the practice round. All players MUST use a cart during the championship rounds.
Championship players will play the CGA tees throughout the championship (approximately 55414 yards). There will be a separate tournament division. Tournament division players will play the club tees throughout the championship (approximately 4775 yards).
IMPORTANT--- Club Policies: Cedarwood Country Club accepts all forms of payment for cart fees and food and beverage. Also, be advised that Cedarwood CC is a non-metal spike facility. No denim, shirts must have collars and shorts must be Bermuda-length. No personal coolers. Coolers are provided on all carts.
Championship headquarters will be the Hilton Garden Inn, Pinville. The Hilton Garden Inn is offering a discount rate of $95 plus tax per night which includes a full hot buffet breakfast. Please identify yourself with the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) to receive the special rate. PLEASE call by April 13th to book your reservation.
Championship Format
36 holes of stroke play with a Championship Division and a Tournament Tee Division (shorter tees). Trophie(s) will also be awarded to Super Seniors (65 or older) that play in the tournament tee division.
*Players will be pre-flighted by handicap index within their respective divisions as of the close of entries. This is new for 2010!

Cedarwood Country Club is a spikeless facility. The penalty for non-compliance is disqualification.
Slow Play
Any player who is discovered taking more than 40 seconds to play a stroke is subject to a warning for slow play and will be advised of the fact. The player will be notified that exceeding 40 seconds on one more occasion will result in a penalty of one stroke. A third violation will result in a two stroke penalty, followed by disqualification.
Except for medical emergencies, use of cell phones during play is prohibited.

Monday, April 26
Course Open for Practice Rounds
*Players may begin to contact the club for practice round tee times on Friday, April 23, 2010.
Tuesday, April 27
7:00 am Practice facilities and golf shop open.
8:00 am-TBA am 1st Round off #1 and #10 tees.
6:00 pm Practice facilities and golf shop close.
Wednesday, April 28
8:00 am Practice facilities and golf shop open.
8:30 am Final Round. Shot-gun start for all competitors.
1:30 pm (approx.) Awards Ceremony and luncheon immediately following play.
