Wotnosky win 18th NC Junior Boys' 13 and Under Championship

   
Grayson Wotnosky of Wake Forest, NC captured his first CGA major title defeating Symon Balbin of Pinehurst, NC six and five in the championship match of the 18^th NC Junior Boys 13 and Under Championship being hosted by Asheboro City Golf Course in Asheboro, NC.  Wotnosky never trailed in any of his four matches during the event winning four and two over Smith Brewer of Raleigh, NC, four and two over Wells Armes of Raleigh, NC, three and two over qualifying medalist Fulton Smith of Pinehurst, NC.  Balbin advanced to the championship match defeating Jack Towarnicky of New Bern, NC three and one, Britt Stroud of Raleigh, NC 1up and defending champion Akshay Bhatia of Wake Forest 1 up.
 
In the other flights, Daniel Duffie of Gastonia, NC defeated Christian Jarrell of Davidson two up to win the first flight.  Parker Shimp of Charlotte beat Parker Kennedy of Winston-Salem, NC two and one taking the second flight and Bennett Wooten, Winston Salem, N.C. defeated Alex Williams, Davidson, N.C. in 11 holes for the third flight trophy.
 
This annual junior championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
