Gary & Elizabeth (Lauren) Robinson Repeat as
Carolinas Parent-Child Champions for 2012
Southern Pines, NC (7/27/12) - Gary and Elizabeth (Lauren) Robinson of
Fayetteville, NC defended their title in the Carolinas Parent-Child Championship
in stellar fashion with an 8-under par 63 and a record shattering performance.
The Robinsons had six birdies and an eagle which included a back-nine 29. The
63 bested their record from a year ago of 67 by four strokes.
“We enjoyed the great course and the company we shared,” remarked Gary. “We have
worked so much lately that we were simply trying to have fun! We look forward to
this great event every year!”

2009 champions Gig Hilton and Stacey Vanzant, Lexington, NC finished alone in
second with an even-par 71.
The Carolinas Parent-Child Championship is conducted concurrently with the
Father-Son Championship. Both events are played over five courses in the
Pinehurst, NC area.
This tournament is one of 216 events conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association
(CGA) in 2012. The CGA is in its 103rd year of serving amateur golf
