The WCGA was founded in 1922 to conduct what is now the oldest and most
widely acclaimed women’s golf championship in the Carolinas. We celebrate all of
our past champions and work hard to continue to provide opportunities for
competitive golf throughout the Carolinas.

The Women's Carolinas Golf Association is a major force in contributing to the
advancement of women's golf in both North Carolina and South Carolina

Through our sponsorships of junior girls' golf and our involvement with the
Carolinas/Virginias team matches, our association encourages a high level of play
for women amateurs of all ages.

The annual WCGA Championship is the pinnacle of state competition for women in
the Carolinas.

In July, 2012 the board of directors votes unanimously to transfer the competition
schedule of the Carolinas Golf Association.
The WCGA served women golfers of the
Carolinas for 90 years.
