The inaugural WCGA Junior Girls’ Golf Championship was held July 17-18 at Whispering Woods Golf Club in Whispering
Pines, N.C. The Championship is conducted by the Women’s Carolinas Golf Association. Girls who live in North Carolina
and South Carolina, and who will graduate in 2010 or later were eligible to play.

Play was conducted in three divisions: the Championship Division was open to any girls who wished to compete from a
championship set of tees; the Junior Division was open to any girls who wished to play 18 holes and compete from a
shorter set of tees; the Sub-Junior Division was open to girls age 12 and under who only wished to play nine holes.

Lizzie Bundy from Clayton, N.C. won the over-all Championship by 9 strokes over Sarah Bae of Raleigh, N.C., Mallory
Warrick of Wilson, N.C., and Taylor Alison of Elizabeth City, N.C.

In the Junior Division, Tara Simmons of Canton, N.C. won by 10 strokes over Lauren Steele of Charlotte, N.C. and
Samantha O’Donnell of Hilton Head, S.C.

The Sub-Junior Division was won by Nicolette Donovan of Cary, N.C. In second place was Nicole Chin of Irmo, S.C.
