Whispering Pines, NC --- The 5th WCGA Junior Girls’ Golf Championship was played at the Country Club of Whispering 
Pines in Whispering Pines, N.C. July 11 and 12.
Sarah Spicer of Bahama, N.C. shot a 74 on Tuesday to give her a total of 147, and a one-stroke victory over Gina 
Kim of Chapel Hill, N.C.  
After Monday’s round, Sarah Spicer and Isabella Rusher of Salisbury, N.C. were tied with 73’s.  Gina Kim was one 
stroke back at 74.  
The Junior Division was won by Amy Wooten of Clinton, N.C., with rounds of 75-73.  
Jennifer Chang of Morrisville, N.C. was runner-up with rounds of 76-76.  The Junior Division plays a shorter set of 
tees than the Championship Division.
The Sub-Junior Division was won by Preeya Shah of Fayetteville, N.C., in a sudden-death play-off with Caroline 
Cahill of Wilmington, N.C.  The Sub-Junior Division plays nine holes each day.  
This Championship is conducted by the Women’s Carolinas Golf Association.  Girls who live in North Carolina and South 
Carolina, and are rising sophomores in high school and younger are eligible to compete
