Starting Time

Please check the enclosed pairing sheet for your starting time on Wednesday, July 6. Play will begin from the 1st tee. Remember that you must walk in all phases of the championship and that you are responsible for providing your own caddie/cart driver. Caddies will NOT be available at Sapona CC. Players must walk but you may carry your own bag during the qualifying round. Caddies will be allowed to rent a cart for the qualifying round at this site. However, caddies may have to share carts during the qualifying round.

USGA Policies

The USGA prohibits the use of cellular phones during qualifying and championship rounds. Also, the USGA does not allow spectator carts during qualifying rounds or the championship proper. Traditional metal spikes are not allowed at Sapona. The penalty for non-compliance is disqualification. The "One-Ball" rule will be in effect.

Locker Room: Players will have access to the women's locker room located in the clubhouse.

Dress Code: Shirts must have collars, shorts are allowed but must be Bermuda length, and no denim. Policy is for both players and caddy/cart drivers.

Practice Round/Cart Fees/Food and Beverage

You are entitled to one complimentary practice round (not including cart fee) on Tuesday, July 5. You must call the Sapona golf shop one week prior to schedule a practice round tee time. Make sure to identify yourself as a U.S. Women's Amateur Championship qualifying participant. It would be helpful if you make your own game before calling.

There is a mandatory $20.00 cart/range fee for the practice round and includes range fee for July 6. Cart fee for caddies/cart drivers on July 6 is $20.00. Make sure to check-in with the golf shop when you arrive and pay your appropriate fees! Sapona only accepts MC/VISA only for Golf shop purchases and Cash only for food and beverage purchases.

Qualifying Schedule

Tuesday, July 5 Official practice round. Must call golf shop in advance to schedule a tee time.

Wednesday, July 6 Qualifying round: 18 holes of stroke play. Playoffs for qualifying spots and alternates immediately following play.

Pace of Play Policy

A player who is discovered taking more than 40 seconds is subject to a warning and will be so advised. The player will be notified that exceeding 40 seconds on one more occasion will result in a penalty of one stroke. A third violation will result in a two-stroke penalty, followed by disqualification. A player’s time to play begins when she has had a reasonable opportunity to reach her ball and when it is the player’s turn to play and can do so without interference or distraction. Penalties are applied individually, but more than one competitor in a group may be penalized.
