One-Day Tournament Series Changes for 2005:
Three divisions based on gender and handicap: Men "A" (handicap +0 - 9), Men "B" (handicap 10 and above) and Women.
Players play different yardage based upon the gender and handicap division. Men "A" play from 6,600 yards, Men "B" from 6,000 yards and Women from 5,400 yards.
Entries are accumulated for the entire Open/Close window. Field is selected by "blind draw" after entries close.
Minimum number of players to have a women's flight is eight players. Otherwise women are placed into regular flights with a course rating adjustment.
Gross and Net prizes. Net prizes based upon a percentage of the total field per flight.
One-day tournament knockout rule: Beat the course rating by eight or more strokes and the next best score by four or more strokes.
Entry fee is $80 per foursome, $20 per individual plus nominal cart/range fee at tournament site ($15-32 depending upon site).
$14 out of every $20 entry fee is paid in merchandise.
