GHIN® is the largest handicap computation provider in the world and the CGA is a part of that picture. CGA members represent more than six percent of all GHIN® users from among 79 golf associations representing more than 14,000 golf clubs in 47 states. The Carolinas Golf Association is committed to providing the most modern and feature rich handicap computation service available. Handicaps represent an important ingredient in the amateur game. They provide a platform for fair competition and fun for golfers of all abilities. We believe the GHIN® system of the future will help us reach our goal. Did you know... ▪ The CGA offers over 240 tournaments every year for golfers of all ages and skill levels...▪ The CGA publishes Carolinas Golf magazine covering news, features and tips of interest to Carolinas golfers... ▪ The CGA has a staff agronomist to support our member clubs with turfgrass issues... ▪ The CGA conducts an Interclub Program open to all CGA member clubs... ▪ The CGA coordinates and trains 150 volunteers who rate and measure hundreds of courses... ▪ The CGA has a full-time staff department dedicated to answering GHIN questions and solving software or handicap scoring issues... ▪ The CGA conducts education seminars each year covering the Rules of Golf, handicapping, GHIN software, and junior golf initiatives... ▪ The CGA has a junior division called the Tarheel Youth Golf Association (TYGA) dedicated to growing the game for juniors. |
