(January 9, 2017) -- The Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) has announced that the 2017 CGA Annual Meeting, Carolinas Golf Night, and Carolinas Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 11th at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (January 4, 2017) -- A new Local Rule announced by the USGA and The R&A eliminates the penalty when a ball is accidentally moved on the putting green. The Carolinas Golf Association will adopt this Local Rule for all of their championships, qualifying competitions, and one-day events for 2017 and beyond.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (January 4, 2017) – Gina Kim of Chapel Hill and Nicholas Lyerly of Salisbury have been named the 2016 N.C. Junior Players of the Year by the Tarheel Youth Golf Association (TYGA) and the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA). The N.C. Junior Player of the Year award recognizes one girl and one boy who have had the most successful year in amateur and junior golf events at the local, state, regional and national levels.
