DAVIDSON, N.C. (July 31, 2016) -- The Carolinas Golf Association will conduct the 11th Carolinas Pro-Junior Championship at River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C. on Monday, August 1st. Entry is open to any team comprised of a golf professional and a junior golfer 8-18 years of age as of August 1 who has not started college. The professional and junior golfer must be legal residents of North or South Carolina.

Jacob Bridgeman of Inman, S.C. used four straight birdies to give himself a five shot lead entering Thursday’s final round at the Carolinas Junior Boys’ Championship. The second round of the Carolinas Junior Boys’ Championship shared the same headlines as the first round, triple digit temperatures and Jacob Bridgeman leading the way. The 138 player field had to battle the temperature and the challenging Windermere Club layout during the first round of the 67th Carolinas Junior Boys' Championship. Jacob Bridgeman of Inman, S.C. overcame both en route to an opening round three-under-par 69. After an early bogey, Bridgeman immediately bounced back with a birdie on No. 13, his fourth hole.
