Read Post »KIAWAH ISLAND, SC - Yesterday's suspended second round of the Carolinas Amateur Championship continued this morning beginning at 8:00am. Light rain fell during the first hour of play but clearing skies may bring better weather conditions for the upcoming third round Saturday afternoon.

Pleasant, SC on the 20th hole. Bovender, a rising high school junior, took an early lead in championship match, but Smith birdied five out six holes to take a three up lead through number 11. defeated Jake Carter of Easley, SC, 3 & 2 in the championship match. Cauthen and Carter’s made the turn all square in the final match, but then Cauthen won four of the next six to win his first CGA championship.
