PINEHURST, N.C. – Final results of the 20^th Tar Heel Cup Matches hosted by the Country Club of North Carolina (Cardinal) in Pinehurst, NC on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 (6750 yards, par 72).

Holding a 3-1 lead after Monday’s four-ball matches, the North Carolina Amateur team split the singles session with their North Carolina PGA Professional counterparts to win the 20^th Tar Heel Cup Matches by a 7-5 final score.

WEST END, NC - A team of eight North Carolina amateurs will be chasing their 3rd victory in a row when they go against eight North Carolina PGA professionals in the 20th Tar Heel Cup Matches at The Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, NC on March 24 and 25. While the amateurs have won the previous two Cup Matches (2012 and 2013), the professionals have long dominated this event with a 14-4-1 all-time record.

Due to the course conditions at High Point Country Club's Willow Creek course from the ice storm a couple of weeks ago and the rainfall this week slowing down the clean-up process, the senior four-ball one-day tournament on Thursday, March 20 is cancelled. All teams will receive a full entry fee refund.
