SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. -- The “Final 4” field is set. The two remaining quarterfinal matches played Sunday resulted in Pinehurst Country Club #1-6 defeating Mountain Aire GC (West Jefferson, NC) 11-7 while Rock Hill Country Club  took down Tega Cay GC#1 (Tega Cay, SC) 12 to 6.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Due to heavy rains at Grandover Resort, the first round of the Senior Four-Ball Tournament of Champions has been cancelled on Tuesday, November 10.

The player’s reception will still be held on Tuesday, November 10 in the Griffin Room at Grandover Resort from 5:00pm-7:30pm.

The second round will be played as scheduled on Wednesday, November 11 with a 10:00am shotgun start.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. -- The Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Maggie Watts as Director of Women's Golf. Watts will coordinate and conduct women’s events such as championships, qualifiers, and one-day tournaments along with assisting at select junior girls’ events. She will also administer women's golf educational seminars and the development of new programs.

Maggie Watts will begin her role as CGA Director of Women's Golf in December 2015.

Due to heavy rains in the Gastonia area, the Senior Four-Ball One-Day at Gaston CC on Monday, November 2 has been cancelled.  No makeup date will be rescheduled. 

The Ballantyne CC Senior Four-Ball One-Day is still on as scheduled on Tuesday. November, 3.

Winston-Salem, N.C. –– After a day of 12 four-ball and 12 foursomes matches, the Virginias and Carolinas teams are locked in a tie (12-12) at the 70th Captain’s Putter Matches being conducted at Old Town Club. Altogether, 24 golfers from the Virginias and the Carolinas are competing in the matches.
