12th Jimmy Anderson Boys' Invitational
Jacksonville CC, Jacksonville, NC
  June 1-2, 2020

  • 54- hole stroke play tournament, 36-holes on Saturday and 18-holes on Sunday

  • Open to boys ages 12-18 who have a USGA Handicap Index of 15.0 or lower

  • Boys compete in one age division

  • Entry Fee: $175

  • Registration opens on February 11 (8 pm) and closes on March 25

  • Match play event where players are flighted based on the 18-hole stroke play qualifier (July 1)

  • The top 16 qualifiers are in the championship flight; all other flights will have 8 players in each

  • All matches are 9-hole except for the championship match which will be an 18-hole match  

  • Open to boys from NC who are 13 and under

  • Flights are based on qualifying score and not age; there are no age divisions.  

  • $75 entry fee

  • Registration opens on May 11 (8pm) and closes on June 22 (11:59pm).



South Carolina Junior Boys' Match Play Championship

  • Match play event where top 64 from 18 stroke play qualifier advance to match play *Updated due to potential Covid-19 limitations*

  • Once a player loses a match they are eliminated from the tournament

  • Boys compete in one division; there are no age divisions

  • Open to boys from SC ages 18 and under who have a USGA Handicap Index of 18.4 or lower

Due to the continued uncertainty surrounding the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, the USGA has made several additional changes to the 2020 championship season schedule, including the cancellation of both Junior championships.

The 72nd U.S. Girls’ Junior, which was scheduled for July 13-18 on the Blue Course at the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Eisenhower Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colo., and the 73rd U.S. Junior Amateur, which was scheduled to be played July 20-25 at Hazeltine National Golf Club and Chaska Town Course, both in Chaska, Minn., have been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

  • Approximate Yardage (*Note: yardage is subject to change): Amateur Division Championship Site=6,500 yards;  Amateur Division (all other sites)=6,000-6,200 yards Open Division:; Professionals=6,500 yards; Amateurs=6,000-6,200 yards;  13 & Under Contestants=5,600 yards;  Super Senior Contestants=5,600 yards

Daniel Meggs Memorial Junior

Daniel Meggs grew up in Charlotte, N.C. and had a highly successful junior golf career winning the Carolinas Golf Association’s inaugural Dogwood State Junior Boys’ Championship and the Joe Cheves Junior Invitational in 2005 along with the Carolinas PGA Charles Tilghman Junior in 2006.  Meggs competed in three straight USGA U.S. Junior Amateurs with a top finish tied for 33rd in 2007.  Meggs played collegiate golf at Wake Forest University from 2008-2011.  After college, Daniel shared his knowledge and love for golf as the Director of Instruction at TPC Pipe Glen where he especially loved working with the junior golfers.  In May of 2017, just weeks before his wedding to his high school sweetheart Jordan, Meggs was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer.  Daniel fought courageously against the cancer for over 2 years before passing away in February of 2020.

71st Carolinas Junior Boys' Championship

  • 54-hole stroke play tournament

  • Field will be reduced to the low 60 and ties after 36-holes

  • Boys compete in one division; there are no age divisions

  • Open to boys from NC and SC ages 12-18 who have a USGA Handicap Index of 18.3 or lower

  • $150 entry fee

  • Registration opens on May 19 (8:00pm) and closes July 6 -  Players may only try to qualify once.

  • Trophies are awarded to the top three teams
  • Open to juniors ages 8-18
  • $150 entry fee per team and includes, cart fees, range fees, lunch and prizes
  • Registration opens on June 22nd and closes on July 30th

Team Selection Criteria

  • Event pits 8 junior boys from NC and SC versus 8 junior boys from Virginia and West Virginia
  • Invitation only; champions of CGA junior boys' championships and captain's picks determined by play in CGA events
  • Format: Day 1 AM: Foursomes matches; Day 1 PM: Four-ball matches; Day 2: Singles matches
  • Carolinas leads 20-15-2  all-time in the matches  



Mimosa Hills Junior Invitational
Mimosa Hills CC, Morganton, NC
  August 29-30, 2020
  • 54- hole stroke play tournament, 36-holes on Saturday and 18-holes on Sunday

  • Open to invited junior boys and girls ages 18 & under who have a USGA Handicap Index of 15.0 or lower

  • Boys' and Girls' divisions; no age divisions

  • Field size is 88 players (60 boys and 28 girls)

  • Entry Fee: $175

  • Registration opens on July 9 and closes on August 7

Carolinas Collegiate Showcase

  November 7-8, 2020
  • 36 hole stroke play tournament; 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday

  • Open to junior boys and girls who have not graduated high school and have a USGA Handicap Index at a CGA member club 

  • No age divisions. Boys will play at approximately 7,200 yards and girls will play at approximately 6,200 yards
  • Entry Fee: $195

  • Registration opens on September 7 and closes on October 29
