The Mid-Atlantic Girls' Challenge Team Matches originated in 2001. The matches pits eight of the best junior girls golfers from North and South Carolina against eight of their Virginia and Maryland counterparts. The championship consists of four-ball match play and singles matches. In the format, a point is scored for winning each match with 12 total points available. The matches are invitation only.

Format: Day 1: Four-Ball Match Play. Day 2: Singles Match Play. 

Winner: 12 points are available. The Carolinas team needs to secure 6 points to retain the trophy in 2017. The Virginias team needs to secure 6 1/2 points to take home the trophy.


All Time: The Carolinas team leads the all-time series 10-4-1.
