GASTONIA, N.C. (June 9, 2026) — Jackson Van Paris, a 2021 graduate of Pinecrest High School, two-time CGA champion and current Korn Ferry Tour professional, qualified Monday for the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills in Southampton, N.Y., after posting 36 bogey-free holes during final qualifying at Gaston Country Club.

The road to the 2026 U.S. Open Championship concludes on Monday, June 8, as Gaston Country Club hosts one of 10 final qualifying sites worldwide for Golf's Longest Day.

A field of 78 players will compete over 36 holes for a place in the 126th U.S. Open Championship, set for June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y. The final number of qualifying spots available from the Gastonia site will be announced on Monday.

The 11th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship heads to Daniel Island Club in Charleston, S.C., May 2–6, marking the first USGA championship contested in the region this year.
