Four Teams Crowned Champions at 2026 Carolinas Mixed Team Championship

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – After two days of competition at the Carolinas Mixed Team Championship, four teams were crowned champions across the Championship, Senior, Super Senior and Tournament Divisions.

In the Championship Division, Carter Boulia and Megan Morris of Cary, N.C., claimed the title with a two-day total of 11-under-par 133, edging defending champions Joseph Cansler and Reece Hart. In the Senior Division, David League of Travelers Rest, S.C., and Pam Prescott of Piedmont, S.C., earned an eight-stroke victory.

Championship Division

Boulia and Morris battled throughout the second round against Cansler and Hart, as well as Jude Carper of Cornelius, N.C., and Karlee Vardas of Lexington, S.C. All three teams held the lead at various points during the Modified Alternate Shot round.

Boulia and Morris ultimately pulled away by playing their final four holes in 2-under-par to secure the championship. The duo opened with a 7-under-par 65 in Four-Ball before posting a 4-under-par 68 in Modified Alternate Shot.

Senior Division

Prescott and League took home the Senior Division title with an eight-stroke victory over Lea and Shawn Venable of Simpsonville, N.C. Prescott and League finished with a two-day total of 7-under-par, opening with a 6-under-par 66 in Four-Ball before posting a 1-under-par 71 in Modified Alternate Shot.

Super Senior Division

Charlie and Niza Hall of Hilton Head Island, S.C., won the Super Senior Division with a two-day total of 2-under-par 142.

The Halls opened with an even-par 72 in Four-Ball before closing with a 2-under-par 70 in Modified Alternate Shot.

Tournament Division

Morgan and Karen Anderson of Huntersville, N.C., won the Tournament Division in a one-hole playoff over Jeff Rich and Sofia Victoria Lindstrom of Greensboro, N.C. The Andersons finished with a two-round total of 12-over-par 156, shooting a 4-over-par 76 in Four-Ball and an 8-over-par 80 in Modified Alternate Shot.

The Carolinas Golf Association would like to thank the staff at Kiawah Island for helping make the Carolinas Mixed Team Championship an enjoyable experience for all of our players. The CGA also extends its appreciation to the rules officials for their hard work in helping make the championship a success.

About the Format

In the Carolinas Mixed Team Championship, teams are comprised of one male amateur golfer and one female amateur golfer. The championship features Championship, Tournament (shorter course), Senior (ages 55+ for males and 50+ for females) and Super Senior (ages 65+ for males and females) Divisions. Teams may compete in any division for which they are eligible.

Round 1 was Four-Ball Stroke Play, followed by Modified Alternate Shot Stroke Play in Round 2.
