Moosa Wins 59th Carolinas Junior Girls' Championship
Charlotte junior wins by one over Czarnecki to claim second CGA title
 
 
Rock Hill, NC--Madison Moosa of Charlotte, NC shot a final round of two over par 74 to win the 59th Carolinas Junior Girls' Championship at Rock Hill CC in Rock Hill, SC.  Moosa, a rising high school junior, finished with a three day total six over 222 to win by one shot over Ashely Czarnecki of Greenville, SC.  "I just wanted to make good decisions and play good golf today" stated Moosa.  "I've been working really hard on my game with my coach over the past year and it is coming together and winning feels really good" added the two time CGA champion.
 
Czarnecki, the reigning SC Junior and SC Junior Match Play champion finished alone in second place at 223.  CGA Twin States champion Kathleen Sumner of Charleston, SC finished in third place at 224.  In the sub-junior division, Mary Talledo of Blythewood, SC finished in first place with a 27-hole total of 127.
 
Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who has not reached her 19th birthday by July 30, 2015, who has not started college, is a legal resident of North Carolina or South Carolina, is a member or their parent is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and has a current USGA handicap index® at a CGA member club.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.
Now in its 106th year, the CGA annually conducts 43 championships and five team match competitions for men, women, juniors, and seniors. It also runs over 140 One-Day (net and gross) events and qualifying for USGA national championships. The CGF has distributed more than $1,500,000 since 1977 to benefit Carolinas' golf initiatives including junior and women's programs.
